Raw materials: alumina XIETA® (aluminum oxide)

Aluminum oxide, best known as Alumina, is the most used material for the production of advanced ceramics, also known as technical ceramics. Xieta International, S.L., being a worldwide well known producer and trader of technical ceramics, possess a huge knowledge in everything concerning this raw material; that’s why taking advantage of all this experience decided to start producing and distributing alumina.

Alumina production process is based on processing aluminum hydroxides from bauxites during the Bayer process. Those hydroxides are being calcinated in a continuous kiln, under a strict quality control, in order to obtain, as a result, a high chemical purity and a perfect crystalline structure; being able, therefore, giving the desired properties to the many products that use it.

Once being calcinated, our alumina goes through a dry milling process in our own mills and using our grinding media, so as to achieve high efficiency of the milling process, and a complete pollution absence in the final product.

In order to cover our different customers’ needs, we produce two different types of alumina with the following properties.
